If asked to name the key reason I have been successful in living and working abroad for over 20 years, without a moments hesitation I would say Julie Resnick. I think of her every time I walk through passport control.

FAQs

Why are Julie's services important?

The #1 reason why overseas assignments fail is personal and family transition issues. Businesses knows that if the relocation doesn’t work for the family, it will not work for the company.

Is my partner (family) eligible for Julie’s services?

Absolutely. Julie prioritizes the partner as they are the ones who face the greatest shift in role, identity and self-esteem. If it doesn’t work for the partner, it doesn’t work for the employee. Julie often spends more time with the partner and is also available to meet with children upon request.

Why do I need Julie’s services?

All employees want to succeed. An international assignment directly impacts you personal life. A smooth transition to and from an overseas assignment sets the employee and family up to succeed.

How will Julie’s services help me to adjust to another culture?

Taking the time out to reflect on what this move means as a family, offering support, strategies and networks to manage the personal / family transition issues is key to a successful cultural adjustment.

I am repatriating. Do I need Julie’s services to move home?

Re-entry is an underestimated transition and can often be harder than the initial relocation.

I’ve lived overseas before. Do I still need Julie’s support?

Each relocation presents its unique challenges and rewards. Employees frequently underestimate subsequent relocations, having lived abroad previously. Expecting anything to be easy makes it harder.

I am super busy. How long will the consultations take?

There is no one-size-fits-all support. The employee and/or partner’s needs and priorities set the pace. Employees are able to reach out at any time during their assignment.
